1. Introduction
Death is an integral part of human life and a phenomenon attracting significant interest and involvement by individuals and society as a whole. Today death as a process can be controlled in many cases through human intervention and the use of technology. Possibilities of using a deceased person’s body and tissue have increased and there is a general interest in society and among individuals to understand the causes of death in order to seek appropriate tools to prolong the human life-span. Therefore death as a phenomenon and the deceased individual in particular could be used to protect life and serve common interests.
