Minutes of the first meeting of the Commission expert group on Directive (EU) 2019/1937

1. Introduction by the Commission and presentation of the rules of procedure
The meeting started with a presentation by the Chair (Deputy Head of Unit C.2 of DG JUSTICE) of the mandate and the objectives of the expert group, through which the Commission will support Member States’ work in order to ensure the full, correct and timely transposition of the Directive. The expert group will also allow for sharing of good practices and expertise, with a view to maximising the effectiveness of the Directive’s rules on the ground. The Commission (“COM") further presented the working methods of the expert group, as reflected in the rules of procedure drafted according to the Commission horizontal rules for expert groups, following which the rules of procedure were approved.
