circumvention
Regulation 269 as well as any other regulation concerning Union restrictive measures include a provision aimed at combating circumvention of sanctions (Article 9(1)). The text of the respective provision reads as follows:“It shall be prohibited to participate, knowingly and intentionally, in activities the object or effect of which is to circumvent the measures referred [in the respective Regulation]."
