4.1 Scope of Protection
Holders of an exclusive right to a trademark can use the trademark and prohibit its use by others. Mere inactivity on the part of the trademark owner cannot be interpreted as consent to use by a third party (Art. 1229 and 1484 of the Russian Civil Code).
Nobody can use the trademark or similar signs without the trademark owner's consent in respect to similar goods if such use may confuse the ordinary consumers.
