In order to keep the register up to date it is recommended that any changes of name or address be registered with the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office. An application with a document confirming the respective change may be filed. For changes of company names and addresses, the easiest way is to file excerpts of commercial registers showing the change. The Hungarian Intellectual Property Office may ask for notarised copies of such documents, however a simple copy is usually sufficient. Applications for changes of name or address are free of charge.
