10.1 Patent Office
Persons having their residence or seat in Austria do not need a representative in proceedings before the Austrian Patent Office, including filings, oppositions or cancellation proceedings. If a person has its seat within the EEA it is sufficient to nominate a representative in Austria to whom official documents may be served. Irrespective of their citizenship, persons having their residence or seat outside the EEA need a representative.
