4.1 Scope of Protection
The owner of a registered trademark has the exclusive right of use of the trademark according to the rights defined mainly in chapter XXV of Law 9947. An applicant has the same rights as long as his right to use has not been contested by a third party. The owner of a registered trademark or the applicant of a pending trademark application has the right to impede third parties from unauthorised use of his trademark.
