The Directive 2005/56/EC on cross-border mergers of limited liability companies (the Directive) was implemented into Slovak law by Act No. 657/2007 Coll. (the Act), which supplemented and amended, Act No. 513/1991 Coll., Commercial Code (the Commercial Code) as amended and Act No. 530/2003 Coll. on Commercial Register, as amended. The Act entered into force as of 1 January 2008.
