The amendments to the Croatian Companies Act (Official Gazette 111/93, 34/99, 52/00, 118/03, 107/07, 146/08) enacted on 3 October 2007 implemented the provisions of EC Directive 2005/56/EC on cross-border mergers of limited liability companies (the Directive) into Croatian national law. However, the coming into force of the provisions on cross-border mergers has been postponed until the date Croatia joins the European Union.
