At the occasion of Michael Lang’s 60th birthday, Rita Szudoczky made an excellent analysis of the CJEU judgment Nordcurrent, which had come out a few days earlier. She came to a rather positive assessment of that judgment. At the occasion of her own special birthday, Michael Lang takes the opportunity to comment on the judgment as well. He is rather critical and concludes that the reasoning of the court is to a certain extent confusing.
