Since the beginning of 2024, new reporting obligations are in force. The Central European System of Payment Information (CESOP) requires payment providers to file CESOP declarations if more than 25 cross-border payments in a quarter are made to the same payee. This essay’s intention is to critically focus on CESOP reporting obligations and to provide practical insights in struggles that concerned businesses might face.
