The debate on net neutrality is currently a very polarized debate at the academic, legislative, industrial and societal level. As net neutrality (principles) takes on different meanings, this article will reflect on the question whether these differences are justified. Furthermore, there are more arguments against net neutrality regulation than in favor of it, as the net neutrality issue is neither a regulatory nor a consumer protection issue but rather a competition law issue.
