On September 12th and 13th 2014 we had the pleasure to welcome a multitude of distinguished guests from around the globe at WU sharing their views on “The European Human Rights System beyond Europe – Interaction with Asia".
The conference, jointly organized by the ICL Journal, the Center of Asian Legal Exchange (CALE), Nagoya University, and the Japanese Research Group on the Case Law of the European Court of Human Rights was dedicated to the current challenges the European Human Rights Structure faces and aimed at exchanging ideas on how to balance national interest and universal human rights standard by dynamically integrating different approaches to a coherent body of human rights protection; thus bringing closer whole regions by promoting and strengthening human rights awareness as a common achievement.
