A. Work prohibitions and work restrictions for (expectant) mothers
The protection of pregnant women and mothers in the world of work is guaranteed by the Maternity Protection Act (Mutterschutzgesetz). In addition, it also regulates the entitlement to maternity leave and part-time employment after birth. Insofar as fathers take on child-care responsibilities, the Paternity Leave Act (Väter-Karenzgesetz) applies to them.
