A. Establishment practices
Factual behaviour that becomes established over the course of time in an establishment, such as additional benefits for employees to which there was originally no legal entitlement (e.g., Christmas presents), the toleration of employee behaviour (e.g., ending work earlier on Fridays by 30 minutes) or the performance of activities by the employees to which they are not contractually obliged (e.g., cashier also cleans the washroom), can give rise to legal problems. This is particularly true when an employer wants to bring about a change or the cessation of such behaviour, to which the employees do not agree to.
