1. Federal Service for Intellectual Rights
This year (2015) in Russia the Federal Service for Intellectual Rights will be set up to develop a unified state policy in the sphere of intellectual property and to ensure the legal protection of results of intellectual activity will provide a federal executive body. Creation of this Federal Service has been discussed for more than 2 years. As the press service of the Open Government announced, the Federal Service for intellectual rights should have been established on January 1, 2014 and fully get started - from July 1, 2014. The experts concluded that the new service will combine the powers of the various ministries and agencies in the field of intellectual property. They reminded that now similar regulation, control and government services functions in this area are divided between different authorities.
