Pursuant to Art 25 para 2 Trademark Act trademarks can be pledged. A pledge agreement has to be executed in writing. A pledge has effect vis-à-vis third parties as of the moment it is registered with the National Trademarks Register (Registrul National al Marcilor). Also registrations of pledges are published with BOPI.
