2.1 Registered signs
Any sign that can be graphically represented and is suitable for distinguishing goods and services from others' goods and services may be protected and registered as a trademark. The Hungarian Trademark Act mentions typical types of marks such as word, letter, number, colour, hologram, two- or three-dimensional forms, including the shape of goods or of their packaging, and sound as well. A trademark may also consist of a combination of such signs. However olfactory marks are not allowed to be registered as trademarks in Hungary.
